Building Intimacy In Marriage

Image
Have you ever wondered why you begin to feel overwhelmed and tired of a relationship that was once ELECTRIFYING? Why is it that most couples   experience a decline in love and affection with someone they once called a SOUL MATES? This is because most couples think *SEX* is the most important aspect of marriage .  But NO, it isn't. INTIMACY is the *GLUE* of all relationships. As started above, INTIMACY is the degree of closeness and bond that exists between you and your partner. Paying close attention to these words  DEGREE   CLOSENESS OR BOND  You will observe that the definition puts into account the *EXTENT* (DEGREE) of *INTIMACY* (BOND/CLOSENESS). The word degree is a measure of *how much* of deliberate effort has been put in place to ensure that the marriage is healthy and safe. This can only be achieved through conscious attempt to ensure things work for both of you in the marriage .  Most importantly, having the fear of Allah in all you do will naturally guide your daily enga

Beautiful Love Found On Facebook

Image
F arida and I met in a Facebook group. Little did we know that our encounter would lead to something beautiful that would change our lives forever. As we shared stories, laughter, and dreams, an unbreakable bond formed between us.  Days turned into nights, and nights into weeks, as we embarked on a journey of discovery and affection. With every passing moment, our connection grew stronger, and we realized that fate had brought us together for a reason. Love blossomed like a beautiful garden, enchanting us with its vibrant colors and sweet fragrance. We reveled in the magic of our bond, promising each other a lifetime of happiness and togetherness. The thoughts of a future filled with shared dreams, laughter, and love were all we could imagine. But as life often teaches us, the road to happiness is not always smooth. We discovered that we both carried the sickle cell trait, a genetic condition that posed risks if two carriers were to have children together. Our hearts sank, and tears fi

Compromise In Marriage

Image
Let's talk more about compromise. It was mentioned towards the end of our conversation on Wednesday and I thought we should talk more about it. Compromise in relationships and/or marriage is about finding a middle ground or reaching an agreement when two individuals have different needs, desires, or opinions. It involves a willingness to prioritize the relationship, and work together to find solutions that both partners can be satisfied with. In a relationship, compromise is very important because no two people are exactly alike. Each person brings their own background, experiences, and preferences to the table. This diversity can lead to conflicts or disagreements on various matters, such as how to spend free time, manage finances, or handle household responsibilities. When facing such situations, compromise allows partners to listen to each other, understand their point of views, and find ways to meet halfway. It requires open and honest communication, and the willingness to cons

Alignment Of Interest In Choosing Your Spouse

Image
In choosing a spouse, either by yourself or matched-make, you need to make sure that your interests aligned with your *"to-be"* interests. These interests could be how religious they, what they like doing, the kind of work they do, where they like visiting, what they like listening to, what they like spending their time doing and so on. Why alignment of interest is important is because is for both of you to live in peace, enjoy your union, and encourage each other to grow personally. On the other hand, if your interests are not aligned, there will be constant conflicts and there will be no support needed for growth. For instance, if one person likes reading and the other doesn't, when the one that likes reading wants to be alone with books, the other person may feel neglected and that can result in constant complain. So alignment of interest is very important in choosing a spouse. An interesting response by one of the group members. 100% agree with this but people need to

The Positive Side Of Social Media

I n the vibrant world of social media, two young women from Northern Nigeria discovered each other's presence. Little did they know that this virtual encounter would pave the way for a beautiful friendship and an incredible business partnership. Let us share our story with you. My name is Zara, and I was scrolling through Instagram one sunny afternoon when I stumbled upon an amazing page run by a talented entrepreneur named Aisha. Her page showcased the most exquisite handmade crafts and traditional Nigerian artifacts. I was instantly captivated by her passion and creativity. Intrigued by her work, I decided to send her a direct message to express my admiration. To my delight, she responded promptly, and our conversation flowed effortlessly. We discovered that we shared a deep love for our Nigerian heritage, and we both dreamed of making a positive impact through entrepreneurship. As our friendship blossomed, Aisha and I realized that our individual strengths perfectly complemented

Finding Love Again

Image
Hello, everyone! We are Stella and Chukwudi, and we want to share our incredible love story with you. It's a tale of finding love once more after experiencing heartbreak and loss. We hope that our story inspires you and shows that there is always hope for happiness, even after difficult times. Both of us had faced our fair share of challenges in the past. We had experienced heartbreak and loss, and it left us feeling shattered and uncertain about our future. But little did we know that our paths would cross, and we would find love in each other's arms. When we first met, there was an instant connection, as if the universe had aligned our paths at the perfect moment. We both carried scars from our past, but we saw strength and resilience in each other's eyes. We understood the pain we had been through, and it created an unspoken bond between us. As we got to know each other better, we discovered that we shared a common desire to heal and find happiness again. We realized tha

A Tender Tale of a Teacher and His Student

Image
"Relationships, they say, are vast buildings that require patience, commitment, and endurance to get built. Ours wasn't a different story. Hi, I am Muhammad Ahmad Shehu I was born into a family that trains everyone to be a professional teacher from a tender age. We have had the luxury to teach so far, and you have learnt better than a group of people when you get to teach them what you know. This girl, who was radiant from day one, self-disciplined, and stood out amongst her peers, was lucky for me to have her in my class or lesson group to teach. I was young, and she was too, so we were both ignorant of what love was. But there was this sparkly feeling that runs through my spine whenever we had eye contact though it barely happened. Things were like that till I got administration at the prestigious Nigerian Military School, Zaria. To refresh my already concluding secondary school education. I was happy I would wear the army uniform but I was sad I won't see my Sa'adiy
